These two sides shared a recent common theme of scoring goals but also conceding at the other end. Six of Wrexham’s last seven games have featured both teams getting on the scoresheet and they have kept just one clean sheet in their last four home league games.

Table toppers Birmingham have scored in their last eight successive away league outings ahead of the trip to North Wales but they have conceded at least once in two of their last three away clashes.

With Wrexham revved on by the home crowd, and Birmingham feeling far from Blue, this game should feature goals for both clubs.

Wrexham’s first three league games since the turn of the year has averaged 11.5 corners in total per match with Birmingham’s matches coming in at just under 10 in their league outings since the start of January.

Jay Stansfield to score

Striker Jay Stansfield was the scourge Wrexham in the reverse fixture back in September, scoring twice in a 3-1 win, as the ten-man hosts emerged victorious at St. Andrew’s.

His form has carried on since then, with 12 league goals scored so far in 2024/25, as Birmingham’s leading scorer this season. Despite not scoring so far in 2025, he remains the Blues most potent weapon in attack, and wrapped up 2024 with five goals in his last five games.

Steven Fletcher to score

From Wrexham’s perspective, the goals have been more evenly shared out through their squad, with Steven Fletcher and Elliot Lee both on six each in the league.

Fletcher gets the nod as a prediction here though, as the player in form, with the former Scotland international scoring in four of his last five games either side of the start of 2025.
