Horse Racing Tips: A 7/1 shout tops our Lingfield picks today
While none of them are that easy to dismiss from each-way calculations, the most likely winners may well be MICK’S SPIRIT and Coolagh Magic. The five-month break before his penultimate start, followed by a win here one month later, suggests that Mick’s Spirit could be returning to the higher level he achieved here last February.

12:52 – Winnebago
It’s not all clearcut, as Express Train is a newcomer to note from the Balding yard, while Yielding To None and Dancing Terror (second choice) have shown significant ability over C&D.
However, WINNEBAGO should have a good chance if his turf form is transferred. A stablemate pulled off a similar feat on Wednesday.
13:22 – Mick’s Spirit

A wide draw presumably makes things more difficult for Rosenpur, who has won at Wolverhampton on two of his last three starts.

Two big runs over C&D last month make Invincible Aura (second choice) an eye-catching candidate on his return to Lingfield, while Al Waqidi showed promise four weeks ago on his return from a huge absence.
However, REY DE LA BATALLA has looked like an improved performer this winter and may back up his recent 7f win.
That was delivered in tidy style when the admirable Thapa Vc ran on into third, but that 7yo has a good deal more to prove over this trip.
14:22 – Frankies Dream (NAP)
The cards won’t always fall right for FRANKIES DREAM (nap) with his challenges from off the pace, but they have in three of his last six starts, and even in defeat, he still looked on the upgrade at Southwell last time out.
Early Release is feared most after turning over a new leaf at the first attempt for his new yard, but Virtue Temperance and Commendation are also interesting.
14:52 – Conquest Of Power
The ones to concentrate on may be CONQUEST OF POWER, Fact Or Fable, and So Chic, who are preferred in that order and all put up positive performances last time out.
The first two of those met with success last year and can come to the fore again in this weak contest.
15:22 – Capallcliste
It’s not an easy choice at this low level, but CAPALLCLISTE was knocking at the door last August/September, and his new trainer has had winners with two of his last four runners.
One of those wins was over fences, but the other was with a Flat horse on her first start since September.
Rainbow Sign produced one of his better efforts last time out and that was over C&D, but Brinton is the second choice, having been in the heat of the action at Wolverhampton eight days ago.
15:52 – Not Me
Arcadian Nights, Hitched, Epsom Faithfull, and Raintown are all in good form, but the ones with the most potential are the lightly raced 4yos, NOT ME and Parkland, who both move up in trip today.
The latter’s pedigree strongly suggests he’ll improve over this extra 2f, but a slight preference is for Not Me, who posted a good effort on his recent handicap debut and ought to have come on for the run.
16:22 – Honrado
Come Of John will be a tough nut to crack if he quickly gets back on track after his Southwell disappointment on Wednesday, but this can go to HONRADO, who returned to form and kept on very nicely for a clear second in a 1m4f classified here last month.
That race was slowly run but the thriving winner subsequently overcame a big hike in the weights to complete a four-timer. Venus Slipper is next on the list.
16:52 – Card Shark
This looks much more competitive than Division 1. Marvellous Lady has not been with James Owen long and might use her recent Wolverhampton success as a springboard.
However, the suggestion is CARD SHARK, who was returning from an eight-month absence when third on his recent handicap debut at Kempton and ought to have a bigger run in him over this longer trip.
Dubai Harbour and Rolypolymoly also make the shortlist.
