How to request a bet with Paddy Power?

Ever got ready to bet on sport only to realise the market you want to back doesnโ€™t even exist? Well, youโ€™re not alone.

Here at Paddy Power we work hard to ensure punters have as many betting options as possible across all sports. Yet our players come up with fresh ideas all the time โ€“ย what thatโ€™s where requesting a bet comes in!

Rather than us guessing what weird and wonderful bets you want to make, we put the decision in your hands.

Our #WhatOddsPaddy? feature ensures you can request a bet on any sport and โ€“ย assuming we can facilitate it โ€“ย weโ€™ll run the odds!

Below is a quick guide to the Paddy Power request a bet service. Itโ€™s only open to registered players, so if you want to get unique odds then sign up today.

How to request a bet on Paddy Power

Here at Paddy Power weโ€™re always looking to provide more odds for our players. Whether youโ€™re football betting, planning to follow NBA games, or have an eye on the golf odds, weโ€™re here to help.

All you have to do is speak to us and weโ€™ll get you sorted. If youโ€™re looking to request a bet Paddy Power has three ways to get in touch:

1. Tweet us with #WhatOddsPaddy?

You can request a bet by tweeting us at the X account @AskPaddyPower and insert the hashtag #WhatOddsPaddy. Explain what odds youโ€™re looking to bet on and, if we can provide the market, then weโ€™ll work hard to do so as quickly as possible.

For example, you might tweet: Hi @AskPaddyPower, I can request a bet for #WhatOddsPaddy on England scoring +5.5 goals and saving a penalty against Croatia?

Weโ€™ll respond as quickly as we can and request the bet for you with our odds team. Assuming all goes to plan, weโ€™ll tweet you when the market is live.

2. Email us

You can email us at SMPriceRequests@paddypower.com and get a price for a requested bet. Make sure you write WhatOddsPaddy in your email heading.

Weโ€™ll endeavour to set up the odds and message you once the market is live.

3. Live chat

You can message us via Paddyโ€™s live chat function. Youโ€™ll need to have a registered email to chat to our operator and request your odds. The chat function is available on any page in the Paddy Power desktop site, and via the chat button on the Paddy Power app.

Request a bet tips

Requesting a bet is pretty easy but that doesnโ€™t mean you need to throw a load of suggestions at our odds makers! After all, we get a lot of #WhatOddsPaddy requests each day.

So, before you request a bet, itโ€™s worth thinking about the following tips:

Is the bet there already? โ€“ย Weโ€™re sorry to report that sometimes the market youโ€™re looking for can be hidden among the other odds for an event. Before you request a bet, double check the bet isnโ€™t hiding by hitting the All Markets tab. Equally, look at the #WhatOddsPaddy options that others have already requested. You preferred market might be there!

Is the bet realistic? โ€“ Our odds setters have to crunch the numbers the come up with fair odds when someone requests a bet. If your request is for the King to parachute into the middle of a heavyweight title fight then itโ€™s likely that we wonโ€™t price it up. However, asking for a footballer not included on a list to win the Ballon dโ€™Or is something weโ€™re more likely to be able to price.

You donโ€™t have to bet โ€“ A big takeaway from this guide is some simple advice: you can request a bet and still not bet any money. If youโ€™re not happy with the odds or change your mind then thatโ€™s not a problem. Thereโ€™s no obligation to bet even if you message Paddy!

Request what you know โ€“ Thereโ€™s little value in requesting a bet on a sport or event you know little about. That way you might be making a big error in judgement and simply throwing your stake away. So, either do some background research or only request bets on sports and teams you know a lot about.
