Sundayโ€™s main event in the north sees Brendan Rodgersโ€™ Champions travel south of Glasgow for their Scottish Premiership clash.

Top social tipster Andy Robson thinks it could be a long day for the hosts at Fir Park. Heโ€™s also got four-player picks here, covered by Paddyโ€™s Super Sub offer, meaning if your man is substituted, the pick carries over to his replacement.

Letโ€™s get the big manโ€™s Motherwell v Celtic betting tips.

Motherwell v Celtic Bet Builder tips

Adam Idah to have 2+ shots on target
Daizen Maeda to have 1+ shots on target

Adam Idah to have 2+ Shots on Target

With the surprise departure of Kyogo Furuhashi, Celtic are a bit light up front, but Idah showed he has the quality to lead the line against Aston Villa in the Champions League last time out.

The 23-year-old netted a brace from 3 shots on target. He is averaging 3.96 shots per 90 and 1.83 shots on target per 90 across his 20 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this term.

Celtic have been expectedly dominant domestically, with 19 wins from 23 league assignments this season and 64 goals scored. Thus, itโ€™s no surprise that they sit at the top of several attacking metrics, including shots on target per game (7.3).

Celtic ran out 4-0 winners in the initial meeting between these sides at Celtic Park; they had seven shots on target, which generated an xG of 3.51, whilst their opponents only had two shots and 16% possession; neither of their efforts at goal found the target.

Daizen Maeda to have 1+ Shots on Target

Maeda has had 12 shots on target across his 20 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season (0.75 per 90), a record that has produced five goals for the winger.

He had two shots on target and scored in the initial meeting between these sides earlier in the season. As mentioned, Celtic are head and shoulders above most sides in the division, especially in attacking areas, and they can similarly dismantle Motherwell as they did in the 4-0 win at Celtic Park.

Motherwell have conceded more goals than any other team in the top seven of the Scottish Premiership this campaign (39) and will struggle to keep a potent Celtic attacking line at bay.

Alistair Johnston to Commit 1+ Fouls

Johnson has committed 22 fouls across his 21 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season (1.15 per 90).

The fullback is quite forward-thinking, as evidenced by the 9 goal contributions heโ€™s provided this campaign (five goals, four assists). However, this also contributes to his foul record when he advances too far up the pitch and is caught out of position.

Heโ€™ll be up against Tawanda Maswanhise, who is averaging 2.92 fouls won per 90 across his 20 Scottish Premiership appearances for Motherwell this season โ€“ no player has been fouled more times in the Motherwell squad than Maswanhise, setting up a tough challenge for Johnston.

Tony Watt to Commit 2+ Fouls

Watt has committed 26 fouls across his 19 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season. Nine of these have been starts, bringing his average to 2.16 fouls committed per 90 minutes.

He committed two fouls in 16 duels and was shown a yellow card in the initial meeting between these sides. He could struggle with service here, considering Motherwell only had two shots in that initial encounter.

This could lead to frustration and force Watt to maintain his high foul average in the Scottish Premiership this campaign.

Motherwell really struggled to contain Celtic in their 4-0 loss at Celtic Park earlier in the campaign; they committed 10 fouls, which is a total just shy of the 11.1 fouls committed per game that theyโ€™re averaging across the season as a whole.

Only four teams in the Scottish Premiership are averaging more fouls per game than Stuart Kettlewellโ€™s side.

Celtic to win

Celtic have won 19 of their 23 games in the Scottish Premiership this season; they ran out convincing 4-0 winners in this fixture earlier this season and were totally dominant in every department โ€“ including in the xG battle (3.51-0.23).

Itโ€™s hard to see where Motherwell find an edge in this game. Their one hope might be a slight hangover in the Celtic camp from their trip to Villa Park, but even with that considered, Celtic should have too much for Motherwell.

Motherwell have lost each of their last three games in all competitions, a record that includes back-to-back losses against the Scottish Premierships bottom-placed side, St Johnstone.

Motherwell v Celtic betting tips

Adam Idah to have 2+ shots on target
Daizen Maeda to have 1+ shots on target
Alistair Johnston to commit 1+ fouls
Tony Watt to commit 2+ fouls
Celtic to win
