Transfer Latest: Mount lauds Man United medics in bid to woo Nkunku

Mason Mount has been waxing lyrical about the medical facilities at Carrington to Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku in a bid to lure the French international to Manchester United before the end of the January transfer window.
Since joining the club from Chelsea in July 2023, Mount has been an ever-present in the United treatment room and he views Nkunku as the ideal teammate to spend lengthy periods on the sidelines with.

‘They may be going through a difficult spell, but Manchester still have some of the best massage tables in the world’, Mount told Paddy Power News.
‘Luke Shaw is a big influence in the treatment room, and he helped me settle in straightaway. I’d help Chris the way Luke helped me if he joins’, added the 26-year-old.
Chelsea used the £55m they received for Mount to cover Nkunku’s medical bills when they lured the forward from RB Leipzig’s treatment room the same summer.
Nkunku missed an impressive 48 games through injury for the Blues in his debut season with Chelsea’s doctors lauding the former PSG star as Mount’s natural successor.
The 27-year-old admits the lure of United is tempting as he weighs up his future this January.

‘Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve always dreamed of pulling my hamstring at Old Trafford’, Nkunku told Paddy Power News.
‘It would be an honour to be massaged in the same treatment room where Phil Jones and Anthony Martial spent most of their careers’, he revealed.
However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims a potential swap deal involving United winger Alejandro Garnacho and Nkunku has hit a snag due to the Frenchman’s demands.
‘Nkunku’s camp are demanding United cover the cost of his celebratory balloons but INEOS said no’, Romano told us.
‘Sir Jim Radcliffe is only willing to pay half the cost of a packet of balloons and is refusing to budge.
‘A compromise could be reached if Chelsea are prepared to pay the other half. Talks ongoing’.
