2:30pm Mainz v Bochum – Mainz to win

Mainz 05 are in excellent form coming into this game, with the hosts having won five of their previous six league games before the Christmas break. The home side have won their last three consecutive home games against Bayern Munich (2-0), Hoffenheim (2-0) and Borussia Dortmund (3-1). Mainz are unbeaten in the last four meetings between the two teams, with Bochum failing to keep a clean sheet in the previous six against the home side.

Despite remaining unbeaten in their previous four fixtures, two of those respective games were friendlies, and their league form had been awful before the Christmas break. Bochum have lost three of their previous five league fixtures, recording only four points from their last 15 available. Bochum have the worst away record in the Bundesliga, with one point from a possible 24 gained on their travels.

2:30pm St.Pauli v Eintracht Frankfurt – Frankfurt to win

FC. St.Pauli have lost three of their previous five league games, including 2-0 defeats against Borussia Mönchengladbach and Werder Bremen and a 2-1 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen. The hosts have only won once all season on home soil and have only gained five points from a possible 21 available at home this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt are winless in their previous three league games but have only lost twice in their last seven league games, once looking at the bigger picture. Frankfurt have recorded impressive away victories this season against the likes of VfB Stuttgart (2-3) and Heidenheim (0-4). The visitors have gained 13 points from 24 on offer away from home this season.

3pm Sunderland v Stoke – Sunderland to win

Sunderland have a tremendous home record this season, as the Black Cats have remained unbeaten in 13 league games at the Stadium of Light. The hosts come into this fixture having won their last three consecutive games on home soil against the likes of Portsmouth (1-0), Sheffield United (2-1), and Norwich City (2-1).

Stoke City are winless in their last five away games, having lost three and drawn twice. The Potters had lost three consecutive games on their travels in that run of five games against Sheffield Wednesday (2-0), Luton Town (2-1), and the reverse fixture against the Black Cats back in December. 2-1.

3pm Bournemouth v West Brom – Bournemouth to win

Bournemouth are in excellent form heading into this game, with the Cherries unbeaten in their last eight domestic games, recording five wins during this run. Bournemouth are also unbeaten in their previous four home games, with two wins against Everton (1-0) and Tottenham Hotspur (1-0) and two draws against Crystal Palace (0-0) and West Ham United (1-1).

West Bromwich Albion have been poor away from home recently, with the Baggies winless in their previous six on their travels. The visitors have drawn four of their last six away games but have suffered two consecutive defeats against Derby County (2-1) and Watford (2-1).

3:15pm Valladolid v Betis – Betis to win

Real Valladolid are bottom of the league, having only gained 12 points from a possible 54 available this season. The hosts have only won twice at home this season and have suffered defeats on home soil against the likes of Real Mallorca (1-2), Villarreal (1-2), and a heavy 5-0 defeat to title-chasing Atletico Madrid. The home side are coming into this game with four defeats in their previous five league outings.

Real Betis come into this game unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions and the visitors are also unbeaten in the previous five meetings between the two teams. The visitors have been impressive on their travels, with four consecutive victories on the road, which includes a 2-1 win against Villarreal.

5pm Torino v Juventus – Juventus to win

Torino are winless in their previous three domestic games heading into this game, and the hosts have only won twice at home this season from nine games played. The hosts have lost three of their last five on home soil, with two 1-0 defeats against Fiorentina and Napoli and a 2-0 defeat at home to Bologna.

Juventus are unbeaten away from home this season, with four wins and four draws from eight league games and only six goals conceded with 15 scored. Juventus have won twice in their previous four away fixtures in the league, with victories against Monza (1-2) and Udinese (0-2). Juventus are unbeaten in the last 20 meetings between the two sides.

6pm Reims v Nice – Nice to win

Stade Reims are winless in their previous five league games, with two defeats against Saint-Étienne (3-1) and RC Lens (0-2). Reims are also winless in their last four home league games, having suffered defeats against Lens and Stade Brest (1-2).

OGC Nice are unbeaten in their previous three league games, following two victories against Le Havre (2-1) and Rennes (3-2). The visitors have a tremendous record in this fixture, remaining unbeaten in the last 11 meetings between the two teams.

8pm Sevilla v Valencia – Sevilla to win

Sevilla are unbeaten in their previous three home league games, with two victories against Celta Vigo (1-0) and Rayo Vallecano (1-0). The home side have only lost once at home in the last seven league games, whilst also recording a 1-0 derby victory against Real Betis. Sevilla have been brilliant defensively, keeping five clean sheets in their previous seven home games.

Valencia have one of the poorest away records in the division, with no victories on their travels in nine attempts and only three points gained from a possible 27 on their travels. Valencia are winless in their previous six league games, with two draws and four defeats following their 2-1 home loss to league leaders Real Madrid.
