14:53 Hereford – Jikala (The Times)
Venetia Williams’ mare JIKALA made a low-key start to her chasing career this season but she kept on from the rear for a very respectable third over 2m3f here last month and is selected to capitalise upon some help from the handicapper.
She made all when winning over hurdles here in 2023, and it will be interesting to see whether connections opt to revert to positive tactics. Recent Catterick second Kings Justice is feared most, while Chestnut Pete returns from a long layoff on a good mark and is one to watch in the betting.
15:15 Southwell – Zabeel Rain (Daily Mirror)
Orangesandlemons deserves plenty of credit but is evidently beatable, and ZABEEL RAIN could be up to the task. She knew her job when making the running on debut at Kempton and didn’t fold once headed, keeping on nicely for third.
16:13 Wetherby – Range (Spotlight)
Plenty with chances. A return to hurdles has been forced upon RANGE after he fell in two of his four chases, and that move could be a blessing. Il Va De Soi (second choice) and Highlands Legacy ran well in their latest races, behind horses on a roll, while Hardy Du Seuil and Persian Time also make the shortlist.
16:30 Dundalk – Endless Dawn (The Irish Sun)
Travelled notably well and short of room when fourth here over 1m latest; ENDLESS DAWN has to be part of the discussion here.
