The selection’s stablemate Daring Legend (second choice) is interesting with Tom Kiely-Marshall back on board, while triple C&D scorers Brasil Power and Follow Your Heart have possibilities back here.

The pick of the runners who already have handicap form is BALLARAT BERTIE, who showed clear improvement on his reappearance and appears likely to build on that effort. All Cost (second choice) and Arctic Mission are open to improvement now up in trip on their handicap debuts and the market signals could be useful.
17:30 Manton Road
Although MANTON ROAD can look an awkward ride he didn’t lack for fight when seeing off the subsequently promoted Perfect Ruby at Lingfield last month. Two subsequent wins have seen improvement, and given his tendency to wander, the rail draw could be a plus. Perfect Ruby can be dangerous again if the blinkers continue to work, while in-form Perfect Parole and Appleblossomwhite are others to consider in a competitive race.
18:00 Political Power
Provided he takes to the hood, POLITICAL POWER could well build on his Newcastle effort and go one better. Megalithic is the chief danger on form, while Final Night and Shipshape have possibilities with further progress plausible. Modern Day and Advancing look best of the newcomers.
18:30 Gaiety Musical
Most of the runners could still have further progress in them. The percentage call goes to GAIETY MUSICAL, who has hit winning form since racing in handicaps at about 1m. Unassuming (second choice) and More Than A Feelin are solid dangers back down in distance.
19:00 Cajetan
With better luck, CAJETAN might have gone close at Newcastle last time, and he is taken to resume his improvement. Heathcliff (second choice) has very solid claims returned to Kempton, while Rosario is interesting on the back of an encouraging effort. The betting may be helpful with regard to Fivethousandtoone.
19:30 Sonnerie Power (NAP)
Off a reduced mark back over his optimum trip, SONNERIE POWER (NAP) can gain an overdue first success for current connections. Buxted Too, Upepo, and Risen Again head the dangers, but handicap debutant Media Mogul needs a market check up in trip.
20:00 Our Dagger
Zaman Daar can win again, but he’s proving to be his own worst enemy with slow starts. South Dakota Sioux should be on the scene, but there was much to like about how OUR DAGGER circled his field at Newcastle, and he looks well in off just 3lb higher.
20:30 Split Elevens
Although he’s 0-4 at this venue, SPLIT ELEVENS gives his running more often than not, and he gave the first three a head start when a closing fourth at Wolverhampton last time. Kondratiev Wave is also hard to knock, and Beveragino could build on a positive first run for her new yard.
