Preference is for topweight SATURNALIA, whose turn looks near, and who gives the impression he’ll stay this extended 1m1f. Paradoxical, English Spirit and Finn Russell are C&D winners who look solid dangers on recent form, preferred in that order, while Golspie is interesting off his current mark.

17:00 Queenofdestruction

The filly QUEENOFDESTRUCTION has the best chance at the weights, while Megaphone (second choice) warrants respect with further improvement plausible, and Desert Champion has possibilities dropped in distance. Snow Creek looks open to progress.

17:30 Darlo Pride

Last year’s winner DARLO PRIDE holds particularly solid claims and is first choice ahead of Catch Cunningham, who warrants respect returned to this grade. Rosenpur is back up in class, and Counsel is back away from Lingfield, but they are still unexposed over this distance, while Angel’s Call and Bear Rock are quite interesting back at this trip.

18:00 Scarlet Sunset

Cases can be made for all of these. The filly SCARLET SUNSET showed a good attitude to win a maiden over 8.6f here in December and is taken to follow up. The step up in the trip could be a positive for Packetofbiscuits, and he is the second choice ahead of Flaine.

18:30 You Are Everything

With the return to 7f well worth exploring, in-form maiden YOU ARE EVERYTHING is taken to get off the mark. Big Narstie (second choice) is interesting back at classified level and Miss Calculation is a solid contender, while closely matched rivals Bernie The Bear and Ajrad are also in the mix.

19:00 Match Anthem

There are cases to be made for Seas Of Elzaam now that he’s found some form again and Heerathetrack (second choice) on his return to a classified event, while Evoluir also has a good run in him. MATCH ANTHEM gets the vote, though, having won his two most recent 7f starts and achieved a useful level of form relative to this grade when winning over C&D in December.

19:30 Zooks

Although yet to win a race, ZOOKS is knocking on the door, and she had a wide trip when going close in a classified at Southwell last time. Honrado also arrives here on the back of a good run, and he’s second choice ahead of Foinix who returns to the right level.

20:00 Zafaan

An open-looking event in which plenty of the runners have possibilities. The percentage call goes to ZAFAAN, who is the marginal pick at the weights and remains unexposed over 1m4f. National Health (second choice) warrants respect upped in distance, and Spartan Times may do better still, while Disquietude, Walk The Moon, and This Time Maybe are solid contenders on recent form. Ocean Ridge is interesting back at this level.

20:30 King Of Speed (NAP)

On the back of a sound effort last week, KING OF SPEED (NAP) could well record a second success in this contest. Unexposed Marioento is second choice, ahead of nicely handicapped Snooze Lane.
