13:05 – Coco Lightning

This doesn’t look like the deepest handicap and it may be worth siding with Irish raider COCO LIGHTNING. He’s a long-standing maiden but took a step back in the right direction on his debut for this yard when finishing third at Fairyhouse a couple of weeks ago, staying on gradually in the closing stages.

That was his best effort of the season and is taken to build on that further for a good and in-form yard. Fellow long-distance traveller Limerick Leader may give the selection most to do ahead of Blame Rose.

13:35 – Whoshotthesheriff

WHOSHOTTHESHERIFF isn’t getting any younger, but he has tumbled a long way in the weights and hasn’t been disgraced in two starts for this yard in stronger races than this.

Indeed, it is nearly three years since he last won, but that came from a mark of 138, and a subsequent breathing operation may ensure he can finish off his races better now. One Last Glance is feared as a last-time-out winner, while a case of sorts can be made for Shattered Soldier and Valence D’aumont.

14:05 – Turn And Finish

TURN AND FINISH showed fairly useful form when placed in juvenile events on his last three starts for Joseph O’Brien, finishing runner-up to an above-average stablemate at Cork last month.

That form sets a very high standard in this field and he’s impossible to oppose, having since joined Harry Derham, who does very well with new recruits. Maple and Zenato are taken to fill the places.

14:35 – Stick With Me Sam

A competitive contest with the narrow vote favouring STICK WITH ME SAM.

Tom Gretton’s six-year-old stepped up markedly on his chase debut when chasing home a next-time-out winner at Warwick 31 days ago and that effort confirmed he’s one to be interested in from this sort of mark.

We Got Your Back was never stronger than at the finish when he was successful at Leicester on his latest outing, and he’s a big threat. Flash du Pistolet and Pescatorius also enter the reckoning.

15:05 – Ribeye

RIBEYE capitalised on a falling mark when resuming winning ways at Musselburgh last month, travelling with plenty of enthusiasm and readily on top of a next-time-out winner at the line.

He ran just as well in defeat when runner-up over this course and distance last month, too, faring best of those held up but just unable to get on terms with the winner who made all of the running.

Ribeye races from the same mark now and seems sure to launch another bold bid. Cave Article, who should have more to come as a lightly-raced six-year-old, looks the obvious danger.

15:35 – Pike Road

PIKE ROAD displayed ability in both his qualifying runs, finding just one rival too strong on each occasion and, now upped in trip for this quick switch to a handicap, he could be the answer from what looks a potentially lenient opening mark.

Fingal’s Hill is an excellent alternative, while market support for Kap de Triomphe would look significant, given his mark could be lenient based on his bumper win.

16:05 – Lahire

LAHIRE confirmed the promise of his previous effort only to lose the race in the stewards’ room, having hampered the runner-up at Market Rasen two weeks ago.

Recent displays underline he’s capable of defying this sort of mark and he makes the most appeal.

Admiral Fitz and Balcomie Breeze are less exposed than most and head the dangers. Market confidence behind top-weight Kazar Forez would also look significant.
