This looks a good opportunity for George Boughey’s STAGE WINNER, who set a clear standard on his close third at Wolverhampton last month and is open to more progress. Kewmill, who made promising late headway over 6f on her recent debut, is feared most ahead of Threatening.
13:30 Lingfield – Tadreeb (The Sun – NAP)
Top of the list is the resurgent TADREEB (nap), who is 2-2 since joining Rod Millman and both those wins have been over C&D. He has a penalty for his success on Thursday, but he beat an odds-on favourite in good style, and remains well treated on old form. Super Hit made a personal best with his win at Chelmsford in October and could be a big danger if he picks up where he left off. The other one on the shortlist is the reliable Charlie Mason, who was runner-up behind the selection here ten days ago.
14:08 Exeter – All The Fella Says (Daily Mirror)
Nicky Henderson’s AS THE FELLA SAYS drops back to 2m from 2m5f, but on a stiff track, and in a very winnable maiden. Saint Anapolino has the next-best form credentials and, if he repeats his Uttoxeter antics by jumping to his right, then Exeter will be a better fit for him (has run well here already in a bumper). Roe And Co is also interesting.
14:38 Exeter – Illico De Cotte (Racing TV – NAP)
He has a lot of weight, but ILLICO DE COTTE (nap) has raised his game over fences, and his third at Carlisle last time out reads all the better now. Livin On Luco is back on more suitable ground after suffering a rare blip in form at Cheltenham and he rates the principal threat. A possible improver is Neo King.
