betting odds chart

Using a betting chart is the easiest way to compare odds and check out the probability of your bet winning. Sometimes it’s difficult to know how realistic a chance your bet has of landing, especially if you’re using fractional odds for the first time.

Below is Paddy Power’s ultimate betting odds chart. Check out the fractional, decimal and American odds, and see the implied probability that each price carries.

Remember, you don’t need to use an odds comparison table to calculate your winnings. To do that, either use the bet slip when creating your bet at Paddy Power, or try our free online bet calculator.

What do odds show?

Betting odds show how much you stand to win when placing a bet. The odds are relative to your stake. The more you bet, the greater your potential profit. Here are three types of betting odds available at Paddy Power and what they show:

Fractional Odds – These show how much profit you’ll make from your stake. If the odds are 4/1 then you make £4 profit for every £1 bet. If you bet £10 and your selection wins then you earn £40 profit + your £10 stake = £50 total.

Decimal Odds – These show your total return relative to a £1 bet. If the odds are 4.00 and you bet £1 then you’ll earn £3 profit + the £1 stake = £4 total. If you bet £2 at 4.00 then your total return is £8.

American Odds – These are slightly more complicated. Positive American odds show how much profit you’ll win if you bet £100. So, if you bet £100 at odds of +300 you’ll win £300 profit + your £100 stake = £400. Negative American odds show how much need to bet in order to win £100. So, if your odds are -250 you’ll need to risk £250 to win £100 profit, and get £350 back in total.
