There will be plenty of football action on Tuesday night, with games in the Champions League, Championship, and League One.

Football tipster Tom Desborough has combined five value picks for a mighty-fine-looking Acca.

Tuesday’s Acca Betting Tips

7:45pm: Preston v Millwall – Preston to win
7:45pm: Wrexham v Leyton Orient – Draw
7:45pm: Wycombe Wanderers v Bristol Rovers – Wycombe to win
8pm: Atalanta v Club Brugge – Atalanta to win
8pm: Benfica v Monaco – Benfica to win

7:45pm: Preston v Millwall – Preston to win

Preston took an impressive point off league leaders Burnley on Saturday, leaving them with one defeat in their last six games. However, the result was overshadowed by Burnley’s Hannibal Mejbri accusing striker Milutin Osmajic of racial abuse.

It is not the first time the Preston forward has been involved in controversy this season, having been banned for eight games in September after biting Blackburn’s Owen Beck. It is currently unclear whether the Montenegran will be available on Tuesday for Paul Heckingbottom’s side.

Millwall followed a humiliating 5-1 defeat against bottom side Plymouth last week with a respectable 1-1 draw with West Brom at the weekend. Before the defeat in the South West, the Lions had won four in a row. However, Alex Neil’s side have struggled away from home this season, with only three wins in 15 games.

Preston have a solid record at Deepdale this season, losing only twice in 15 games. It will be a close-fought contest between the two sides tied on 41 points, but the hosts could have enough to edge the win.

7:45pm: Wrexham v Leyton Orient – Draw

Wrexham extended their winning run to four in all competitions on Saturday with a 2-0 win away at Northampton. The victory took Phil Parkinson’s side to third in League One, two points behind second-place Wycombe Wanderers.

Leyton Orient also claimed victory on Saturday, albeit by the skin of their teeth, with a 3-2 win at home to Lincoln City thanks to a 90+4 minute winner from Charlie Kelman.

Richie Wellens’ side have won four of their last five league games, with the only defeat coming against Stockport on February 1st. They currently accompany Wrexham in the playoff spots in sixth, ahead of seventh-placed Charlton on goal difference.

It will be a close-fought contest between the two high flyers after the reverse fixture ended 0-0 at Brisbane Road in September.

The hosts have only lost once at The Racecourse this season, a 3-2 defeat to Stevenage earlier this month, while the O’s have won four of their last five away games.

With very little to separate the two, a draw looks like the most likely result.

7:45pm: Wycombe Wanderers v Bristol Rovers – Wycombe to win

Second-placed Wycombe hope to end a run of three consecutive draws in all competitions when 17th-placed Bristol Rovers visit on Tuesday evening.

Matt Bloomfield’s side played out a 1-1 draw away at Crawley on Saturday, extending their slip in form to one win in five games, drawing the other four.

Bristol Rovers secured a 3-1 win over struggling Burton Albion on Saturday, following on from a 1-1 draw at home to Stockport on Tuesday.

However, their away form is still of concern for manager Iñigo Calderón, having lost their last three games away from home without scoring a single goal.

That barren run should give the hosts the confidence to return to winning ways and keep themselves in the automatic promotion spots. They also won the reverse fixture 2-1 back in September and should do the same here.

8pm: Atalanta v Club Brugge – Atalanta to win

The hosts will seek retribution after conceding a late controversial penalty in the first leg against Club Brugge last week, which left them 2-1 down on aggregate and needing a two-goal win to advance to the next round of the Champions League.

Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini claimed that “football is being contaminated” following the referee’s decision in the fourth minute of stoppage time. He angrily stormed down the tunnel after Gustaf Nilsson converted the spot kick, leaving his side with a lead to chase in the second leg.

Harnessing his team’s anger into constructive energy will be key to their victory on Tuesday. Their home record is on their side, with Real Madrid being the only team to beat them at the Gewiss Stadium in Europe this season.

Despite the controversial call, Club Brugge were arguably the better side in the first leg but will need to reverse some horrible away form if they want to hold on to their lead and make the next round.

The Belgian side have only won one of their last six away games and will find it tough against a rejuvenated Atalanta.

8pm: Benfica v Monaco – Benfica to win

Monaco’s Champions League run has been a curious one. The French side briefly topped the League Stage table early on and can boast of wins against Barcelona and Aston Villa.

However, two 3-0 dismantlings from Arsenal and Inter Milan and a 3-2 defeat from playoff opponents Benfica saw them drop out of the top eight.

The hosts have endured a similar European rollercoaster this season, with their highlight being a 4-0 win against Atletico Madrid.

However, they missed a historic victory against Barcelona on matchday seven. Despite being 3-1 and 4-2 up, they lost 5-4, conceding three goals in the last 12 minutes.

The Portuguese side took a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, and Monaco will find it challenging to overturn that at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Benfica have already beaten the French side twice this season, so this should be a third win and a safe passage to the next round.
