Premier League Predictions: Lawro sees Man Utd loss, Man City held but Liverpool to win

As the 2024/25 Premier League season rounds the bend and embarks on the long journey to the finish line, Paddyโs pal Mark Lawrenson is showing trademark stamina as he continues to gaze into his crystal ball every single week.
The Soccer Soothsayer has read the signs and tested which way the footballing winds are blowing to produce his Premier League predictions over the coming days. Letโs see what the future holdsโฆ

Friday 8pm: Brighton v Chelsea
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Brighton did Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup at home last weekend and I fancy a repeat. Chelsea are a little bit off it and Brighton are due a bit of a run. Brighton 2-1 Chelsea.
Saturday 12:30pm: Leicester v Arsenal
TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate
With Kai Havertz out Arsenal now have no fit recognised strikers. Itโs amazing, how can you pull your hamstring on holiday in a nice, warm climate?! Theyโve obviously been unlucky. You do have injuries over a season but you wouldnโt expect it to happen to all your strikers. They are playing Leicester though so I expect them to find a way to get the points. Leicester 1-2 Arsenal.
Saturday 3pm: Aston Villa v Ipswich
It was must win against Southampton for Ipswich and I just canโt see them getting anything here against an Aston Villa side who have their mojo back. Aston Villa 2-0 Ipswich.
Saturday 3pm: Fulham v Nottingham Forest
Iโm going to go for Fulham to win this, though I think it will be very tight. Both are a bit up and down at the moment so Iโm just going to side with home advantage. Fulham 1-0 Nottingham Forest.
Saturday 3pm: Man City v Newcastle
Everythingโs good at the moment for Newcastle while itโs the total opposite for Manchester City and they threw away another lead in midweek against Real Madrid after making tough work of their FA Cup match at the weekend. Theyโve still got great players so this could be a stalemate. Manchester City 2-2 Newcastle.

Saturday 3pm: Southampton v Bournemouth
This is a derby of sorts so there could be a surprise. Southampton are so poor but they did beat Ipswich so maybe that will give them a boost. I just like Bournemouth, how they play and their manager, so Iโll keep the faith with them. Southampton 1-2 Bournemouth.
Saturday 3pm: West Ham v Brentford
Brentford are not great on the road, are they? Iโll go for West Ham to take the points. Theyโve got Evan Ferguson on loan up front so hopefully he can get a run of games and show everyone what heโs all about. Itโs been a long time since heโs played regularly and heโll be raring to go. West Ham 2-1 Brentford.
Saturday 5.30pm: Crystal Palace v Everton
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
This might have a feeling of after the Lord Mayorโs show for Everton given that incredible finish to the Merseyside derby. Theyโll be without two of their best players as well with Abdoulaye Doucoure suspended and Iliman Ndiaye injured. David Moyes has got Everton going but Palace will be fresher and, probably, too strong for Everton as well. Crystal Palace 2-1 Everton.
Sunday 2pm: Liverpool v Wolves
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
I donโt think itโs a slump for Liverpool, itโs just been a case of rotation against Plymouth and then something kind of special happened at Goodison Park. I fancy them to bounce right back and there might even be some football played in this match! Liverpool 3-0 Wolves.
Sunday 4.30pm: Spurs v Man Utd
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
You never thought at the start of the season that these two would be in the positions that they are. I presume that Spurs might have one or two players back so Iโll go with them but itโs always a toss of a coin with these two. Tottenham 2-1 Manchester United.
