Bayern Munich v Werder Bremen

Bundesliga match at the Allianz Arena, Venice
TV: Sky Sports Football, 7:30pm

Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score: Yes

Bayern Munich will be hoping to extend their Bundesliga title lead at home to Werder Bremen on Friday night ahead of a crunch Champions League last 16 playoff first leg at Celtic in midweek.

Vincent Kompany’s side have a six-point lead over second place Bayer Leverkusen going into this game as they look to wrestle the title back from Xabi Alonso in 2025.

The hosts have won their last six Bundesliga games, and they are the only team yet to lose at home in the top-flight this season, with visitors Werder Bremen picking up just one win in their last five league outings.

The one glimmer of hope for the away side could be Bayern Munich’s mixed recent defensive record as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three clashes in all competitions.

Como v Juventus

Serie A match at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, Como
TV: One Football, 7:45pm

Draw

Cesc Fabregas looks ready to lead Como’s battle for Serie A survival this season and the former Arsenal and Chelsea star is doing a solid job so far. Home form will be key to their chances of staying in Serie A and they have won three of their last five home league games.

Juventus are battling to get into the top four – and they also have a Champions League playoff at home to PSV Eindhoven on the horizon – so there could be rotations for the trip to Como. Just two wins in their last seven league matches does not inspire much confidence, including no win in three away ties, and Fabregas will be hopeful of at least a point from this showdown.

Randal Kolo Muani 1+ shot on target

Dusan Vlahovic is Juventus’ leading marksman this season, with eight league goals, and 13 scored in all competitions. However, France international Randal Kolo Muani is the player in form for Thiago Motta, with three goals in his first two appearances since joining on loan from PSG last month.

He averages 1.5 shots on target per game so far as a Juventus player and he will be a threat.

Nico Paz 1+ shot on target

Argentina international Nico Paz has impressed under Fabrgas’ guidance following a summer move from Real Madrid. The 20-year-old has already netted five goals from midfield, with two of those coming in his last three matches.

He is averaging just over one shot per game in his four Serie A outings since the start of 2025.

Rayo Vallecano v Real Valladolid

La Liga match at the Estadio de Vallecas, Madrid
TV: Premier Sports 1, La Liga TV, 8pm

Rayo Vallecano to win

Two sides facing very different ends to the La Liga season meet on Friday night as Rayo Vallecano host Real Valladolid. The home side are up to sixth in the table, with an eight-game unbeaten league run, including successive home wins.

Real Valladolid remain rooted to the bottom of the table , after three back-to-back defeats, and just one away win since the start of the campaign.
