Football Accumulator Tips: Tuesday night’s 7/1 four-fold from across Europe

For Tuesday night’s football, we’re off on a European tour with four different countries on our whistlestop trip around the continent.

Our tipster James O’Rourke has dived into the fixtures and found four value picks for an acca.

Tuesday’s Footy Acca betting tips

7pm Heracles v Utrecht – Both teams to score, yes
7:45pm Burnley v Oxford – Under 2.5 goals
7:45pm Stuttgart v Augsburg – Stuttgart to win & both teams to score
8pm Atalanta v Bologna – Both teams to score, yes

Heracles v Utrecht – Both teams to score, yes

KNVB Beker match at the Asito Stadion, Almelo, 7pm

We are now at the Quarter-Final stage in the KNVB Beker, the FA Cup of Dutch football, and these two top-flight clubs are hoping to go all the way. Heracles, who sit just outside the Eredivisie relegation zone, have never won this competition, whereas Utrecht, who are hunting down a Champions League place, last won this competition 21 years ago.

Considering both have avoided PSV, Feyenoord, and AZ in the draw, each will really attack this game to try to get one step closer to the final.

An entertaining game should be expected based on the recent form of the two clubs. Since returning from the winter break, the home side are unbeaten in six, four of which specifically ended in a 1-1 score. That theme of both teams scoring has followed them across the campaign, specifically in home encounters. Heracles have had nine of their 11 home league fixtures feature both teams scoring, more than any other side in the division.

Utrecht are also another side to resume from the mid-season pause to then put together a run of matches without defeat. In their case, they are undefeated in five, although each of the last three ended all-square. A 3-3 draw away to bottom-half Zwolle at the weekend was not the result they desired, however they’ll certainly take that given they were 2-0 behind at half-time.

Similarly to Heracles, Utrecht are no strangers to being involved in contests where each side finds the back of the net. In fact, no other Eredivisie club has had more both teams scoring battles than them this season.

It is safe to say BTTS looks a pretty good call here. Each will view this as a winnable contest, and stepping aside from the pressures of the league could easily see this match explode into life.

Burnley v Oxford – Under 2.5 goals

Championship match at Turf Moor, Burnley
TV: Sky Sports+, 7:45pm

Burnley will approach this game knowing three points would propel them back into the automatic promotion places. They will view it as important they do, considering The Clarets have drawn three of their previous four. It won’t necessarily be so easy that they do resume winning ways on a count of quite a familiar pattern that has followed them this season.

Scott Parker’s side might have only lost twice in league action all season, but draws have been a major frustration for them. They may be unbeaten at home, but a return of six wins and eight draws at Turf Moor is, again, frustrating. Seven of their 13 overall league draws came to bottom-half opponents; six of those were 0-0. Opposing goals when Burnley are involved is often a safe approach. Their Championship games only average 1.50 goals, with 24 of 30 ending under 2.5 goals.

This is a little bit of a bonus game for Oxford in many ways. Travelling away to a team in the promotion race might suggest so, however, the draw angle for Burnley does present a realistic chance of avoiding defeat here. Sitting in a deep low block has proven to be a successful way of preventing Burnley from attacking.

It has plagued them all season, and confidence is high in the Oxford camp given they are unbeaten in league games since Gary Rowett took charge. This is undoubtedly their hardest assignment so far under Rowett, but they know what to do to give themselves a chance here. Seven of their nine Championship matches under Rowett have contained two goals or less, and that trend should continue here.

Burnley’s tremendous defensive record is well-documented. They kept an eighth league clean sheet in a row at the weekend when drawing 0-0 at Portsmouth. A lack of cutting edge in attack was also present, proved by the fact they are the second-lowest top scorers in the top half of the table.

Stuttgart v Augsburg – Stuttgart to win & both teams to score

DFB Pokal match at the MHP Arena, Stuttgart, 7:45pm

The DFB Pokal is also at the Quarter-Final stage, and with the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund no longer in the tournament, Stuttgart and Augsburg will believe this is a realistic opportunity to claim a rare trophy.

It is nearly closing on 30 years since Tuesday’s home side won this cup competition, whilst the visitors are seeking a maiden success in this. Stuttgart are favourites to progress here, and understandably so, based purely on the league table. They are the ones involved in a very hectic schedule, though, which may be something of a reducer that makes this a closer-than-anticipated clash.

Since returning from the winter break, Stuttgart have played every three or four days, but the only benefit from now exiting the Champions League is the reduction in fixtures moving forward.

Sebastian Hoeneß’s side have recently struggled for results, possibly because of the schedule. It is three defeats in a row, having previously started 2025 with four wins in succession. They’ve shipped an average of 2.67 goals in that time. Even across the entirety of the campaign, Stuttgart have been an entertaining watch for the neutral.

They’ve played 32 games in all competitions in 2024/25, 21 of those included both teams scoring. Only in four out of 20 Bundesliga games have they kept a clean sheet, yet they sit fifth in the table. Nine of their 15 overall wins have seen them concede in the press.

Augsburg enter this in much better shape with regards to recent form. It is four without defeat for Fuggerstädter, of which three were victories. As a result, they’ve built up a fairly healthy gap to the bottom three, meaning they can somewhat enjoy this cup tie.

The concern for them, however, is their record against the Bundesliga stronger lights this season. Against the current top-six, they’ve played six, lost five, and drawn one. They’ve conceded an average of 2.50 goals in those particular encounters. However, they have scored in seven of their last nine in all competitions but are still expected to come off second-best here.

Atalanta v Bologna – Both teams to score, yes

Coppa Italia quarter-final tie at the Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo
TV: Premier Sports, 8pm

Atalanta and Bologna have also had a hectic season to date on a count of battling on three fronts, including the Champions League.

Bologna, however, won’t be continuing on that front, having been knocked out, but Atalanta will be hopeful of ending the season with at least one trophy to their name. They have been hard to come by over the years, but winning the Europa League last season ended a very lengthy period without one.

They won their one and only Coppa Italia title in the 1960s, but motivation is high to make an impression in that having been beaten finalists last season. It won’t be easy, though, considering both teams are separating by just a few places in the league standings. Also, six of the last seven head-to-head renewals were either won by a one-goal margin or drawn.

Although a tight contest could easily play out, that is not to say this won’t contain goals. Bologna have adopted more of an open approach this season regarding their own style of play. They commonly became a team that played in tighter, tactical battles, but goals are a more common sight when they are involved. Seven of their last eight in all competitions ended with both teams scoring and overall those matches averaged 3.25 goals. 59.1% of Bologna league games this season have featured BTTS.

It is even higher for Atalanta, one of the highest in the Italian top-flight in fact, so that only extends the likelihood of it occurring in this cup tie.

Tactically, this game just suits attacking play. It just does not suit the strengths that either coach has built the team on this season to be too cagey. Neither can necessarily be trusted to keep a clean sheet, too, so goals do appear to be on the agenda.
