Europa League Tips: Joe Cole’s 19/1 & 3/1 Thursday Bet Builders

The final Europa League match day is here with Manchester United and Tottenham featuring on Thursday night.

Manchester United won at Fulham on Sunday night but, let’s be honest, it was a dreadful game!

They travel to Bucharest to face FCSB and I’ve played there, it’s a tough place to go and get a result.

United are unbeaten in Europe which is a positive while FCSB have had four clean sheets in their seven games so they’re hard to break down.

United have drawn two of their three away Europa League games this season and I’m expecting that trend to continue so I’m siding with the draw. I reckon this could finish 1-1 so I’ll add in both teams to score.

The value player picks are Harry Maguire to have 1+ shots and Manuel Ugarte to be shown a card.

Maguire is constantly written off but whatever you think of him, he’s always a threat from set pieces. He can easily have an effort on goal.

Ugarte is a card magnet for United. He’s been booked eight times and he was shown a yellow in Sunday’s win at Fulham.

8pm: Tottenham v Elfsborg

Tottenham host Swedish side Elfsborg and Spurs are in a tough spot at the moment. They lost at home against Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday but Ange Postecoglou is suffering from an injury crisis at the moment.

I’m expecting Tottenham to bounce back and get the job done but they will concede as that’s just what Spurs do. Both teams to score is just a standard week for Postecoglou’s side.

I like the look of Son Heung-min to score or assist. He’s scored 10 and set up six goals this season and he can add to his tally.

Finally, there’s value in backing Pedro Porro to have 2+ shots. The defender is averaging two shots per game in the Europa League and he’s never afraid to have a go.
