Premier League Predictions: Lawro senses an Arsenal shock but Chelsea to win

As the 2024/25 Premier League season rounds the bend and embarks on the long journey to the finish line, Paddyโs pal Mark Lawrenson is showing trademark stamina as he continues to gaze into his crystal ball every single week.
The Soccer Soothsayer has read the signs and tested which way the footballing winds are blowing to produce his Premier League predictions over the coming days. Letโs see what the future holdsโฆ

Saturday 12.30pm: Newcastle v Bournemouth
TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate
The kick-off time is a nightmare for the Bournemouth fans!. Newcastle have won nine straight games in all competitions which is just amazing for them and I think they might get to double figures. Alexander Isak is absolutely on fire as well which is, no doubt, helping a lot.
Bournemouth had a good point at Chelsea during the week and they should actually have won really. All in all I can see this being quite comfortable for Newcastle. Newcastle 3-1 Bournemouth.
Saturday 3pm: Brentford v Liverpool
Brentford had a really good result against Manchester City on Tuesday, coming back late on from 2-0 down to pinch a draw. Away at Brentford is always a tough one but Iโll back Liverpool to just sneak it, though I always fancy Brentford to score. Brentford 1-2 Liverpool.
Saturday 3pm: Leicester v Fulham
Fulham should have got a point against West Ham really. The thing about Leicester is that they do create quite a few chances, they just miss so many. Fulham are a tough nut to crack but theyโve been a bit off it of late so Leicester could get a point. Leicester 1-1 Fulham.
Saturday 3pm: West Ham v Crystal Palace
If West Ham win they could go in to the top half of the table. They sack their manager, pick up a couple of wins, and theyโre back up there in the pack! Crystal Palace did have a good away win but West Ham are a lot better than Leicester. West Ham 2-1 Crystal Palace.
Saturday 5.30pm: Arsenal v Aston Villa
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Aston Villa ruined David Moyesโ homecoming at Everton in the week and they also ruined Arsenalโs chances of winning the Premier League last year so theyโre proper party poopers. There might be something in that.
Villa look like theyโre back on it and thereโs just something missing for Arsenal in my view. Itโs probably the striker which weโve all been banging on about for ages now. Arsenal 1-2 Aston Villa.

Sunday 2pm: Everton v Tottenham
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Tottenham wonโt change, theyโll just go for it. I donโt see Everton winning this, I really donโt. As long as Spurs have a chat with the keeper and remind him that heโs not a centre back they might be alright.
I just donโt see where Evertonโs goals are coming from. Theyโll be hard to beat because we know thatโs Moyesโ way of playing but we might even get a rare Spurs clean sheet here! Everton 0-2 Tottenham.
Sunday 2pm: Man United v Brighton
Both of these played on Thursday night so thereโs no real advantage there. Brighton just draw so many games but they could lose this, thereโs a bit of feeling growing around Old Trafford again at the moment. Manchester United 2-1 Brighton.
Sunday 2pm: Nottโm Forest v Southampton
This will be a big home win, Southampton are hopeless. Nottingham Forest showed that theyโre a proper team against Liverpool even though they needed the keeper to be on top form to get them a point but thatโs what theyโre there for. Nottingham Forest 3-0 Southampton.
Sunday 4.30pm: Ipswich v Man City
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Manchester City are not back to where they were but theyโve stopped losing and theyโve started scoring. It looks like they could have some reinforcements by the time this comes around. Ipswich will fight hard but you have to back City to win. Ipswich 0-3 Manchester City.
Monday 8pm: Chelsea v Wolves
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Wolves started quite well under their new manager but the wheels look to have already fallen off. Chelsea could only nick a point against Bournemouth which will be a disappointment. Chelsea are the better team with home advantage so itโs a stretch to see Wolves getting anything. Chelsea 2-0 Wolves.
