New West Ham manager Graham Potter will be put to the test on his Premier League return on Tuesday night when Marco Silva’s Fulham make the short trip across town.

Football tipster Paddy Murphy has searched the markets for value bets and has four for a player-focused Bet Builder. Three of Paddy’s picks are covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, too, meaning that if a player is replaced, the pick carries over to his replacement.

Lucas Paqueta to have 1+ shots on target

While Mohammed Kudus tops the list for West Ham players in terms of shots, we prefer the odds of his midfield partner Lucas Paqueta here. The tricky Brazilian has only netted on three occasions in the Premier League so far this season but has been averaging 1.4 shots per game.

With Niclas Fullkrug out for the foreseeable after pulling a hamstring against Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Friday night, new West Ham manager Graham Potter will likely be sticking Danny Ings up top. Paqueta should keep his place in playing support behind the striker on duty, and the way Ings plays, we can see him setting up Paqueta to take a pop on occasion.

Raul Jimenez to be fouled 2+ times

Raul Jimenez was rested for Fulham’s FA Cup clash with Watford on Thursday night. Well, that was the plan anyway. He was brought on at halftime when Rodrigo Muniz was forced off with a back injury and scored yet another penalty after the two he dispatched against Ipswich during the Cottager’s most recent Premier League match.

Jimenez has been Fulham’s most fouled player, as you’d expect, drawing 24 fouls over his Premier League appearances this season. West Ham are going to be desperate to keep things tight and break up attacks, meaning Jimenez is going to be a target whenever he receives the ball. We can certainly see him being impeded at least twice here.

Raul Jimenez to have 1+ shots on target

Staying with the Portuguese man, he’s Fulham’s leading goal scorer this season with eight Premier League goals. It really should be a higher tally, seeing as he’s been averaging 2.4 shots per game.

The Hammers have conceded a ton of shots per game this season, too, averaging a whopping 16.4 per game. The away side have also proven rather tough to beat of late and, on the road, have scored the first goal in three of their last five away games.

It a tactic that’s proved well for them this season and they’ll surely be going for the first goal here too. As such, backing Jimenez to have at least one shot on target makes good sense.

Draw

In the Premier League era, these sides have met a total of 47 times, with West Ham winning 22 times. On home soil, the Hammers have faced the Cottagers 23 times, taking the full points on 12 occasions. Over their last four meetings here, the hosts have won three and lost one.

Despite the new-manager-bouce element here, West Ham might struggle for goals. As mentioned above, Niclas Fullkrug limped off on Friday night, and Jarod Bowen is still out, as is, of course, Michail Antonio.

Fulhman’s seeming love for drawing games has to be factored in, too. Marco Silva’s side have drawn six of their last 10 Premier League matches, and three of their last five on their league travels.

No doubt, though, that the West Ham players will be eager to impress their new manager, but with just one win over their last five home league outings, a Hammer’s victory doesn’t look like it’s on the cards. With all of the above, this one looks like it’s going to end all square.
