Greek giants Olympiakos are the reigning champions, but they won’t get a chance to defend their crown, as the new format in the Europa League provides them with no route to drop down.
A total of 36 teams entered the brand new ‘league phase’ and 24 are still fighting for a chance to be involved in the coveted final later this year, but where will it take place?

The 42,771-capacity Wrocław Stadium in Poland will host the final. The ground opened in 2011 and was used during Euro 2012.
It becomes the third Polish city to host a European final after Warsaw and Gdansk, who hosted the Europa League showpiece in 2015 and 2021 respectively.
