Manchester City change club motto to ‘Forever Humbled’ after Arsenal mauling

Manchester City have changed their club motto to ‘Forever Humbled’ following their thrashing by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s side were on the receiving end of a 5-1 mauling after conceding four second-half goals in an extraordinary collapse.

After the defeat, City chiefs decided to change the club’s motto to ‘Forever Humbled’ from Nihil sine centum et quindecim criminbus, which is the Latin for ‘Nothing without 115 charges’.

The new motto was welcomed by striker Erling Haaland, who took a break from meditating to tell Paddy Power News: “It has a nice ring to it. Kinda sounds familiar, though.

“It will look well embroidered on our new kits we’ll be wearing in League Two next season.”

It follows the announcement that City fans can purchase half-time ‘Humble Pies’ at the Etihad Stadium on matchdays starting this week.

The pastries will come with an assortment of fillings, with ‘Sour Grape’ proving highly popular with supporters during trials.

In related news, PGMOL have confirmed they are investigating an incident during the game involving Bernardo Silva and Leandro Trossard.

City are demanding answers after footage surfaced of a clash between their skipper and the grounded Gunners ace.

“You can see clearly from the replays that Trossard has deliberately struck Bernardo’s foot with his arse,” an enraged Guardiola told PP News.

“Leandro’s gone in there with both buttocks raised off the ground, and he could have broken Bernardo’s toes.

“There’s no place in the game for deliberate two-buttocked challenges, and he’ll be looking back on himself disappointed when he sees the replays.

Meanwhile, Bernardo has taken to social media to reassure City fans he’s ok following Trossard’s horror arseing.

“I’ll come back stronger from this,” posted the Portuguese on Instagram along with a picture of his bandaged foot.
