Premier League referee Michael Oliver blows a whistle

A Premier League weekend rarely passes by without a controversial call by the officials on the pitch or in the VAR room.

The 2024/25 season is unlikely to be any different as the greatest league in the world takes centre stage once again.

John Brooks is given the whistle for the big game on the weekend slate as Manchester City welcome Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium.
