Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown
When youโre picking any one player to score on Sunday then you have to start with Saquon Barkley and itโs no wonder that he is the favourite. Barkley comes into Sundayโs flagship game off the back of a truly historic season, one that saw him come third in the MVP race behind Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.
Since arriving in Philadelphia last summer weโve seen him find the endzone 20 times in 19 games, rushing for 18 touchdowns and adding another pair in the passing game. The acquisition of Barkley has transformed this offense and heโs had 14 games of 100+ rushing yards this season. Heโs really stepped up when it matters too, scoring five times in the past two games to carry the Eagles to the Super Bowl.
He scored three times against the Commanders in the NFC Conference Championship game including the opener that saw him showcase his elusiveness and speed as he broke off a 60-yard run to score. Barkley is the best running back in the NFL and heโs helped hugely by the Eagles offensive line who are amongst the best in the game, heโs a focal point of the offense and surely scores on Sunday.
Dallas Goedert Anytime Touchdown
Now weโre getting a bit more punchy with Dallas Goedert not being the most obvious player to score on Sunday but heโs still somebody worth considering and really helps boost this Bet Builder. Itโs been a low-scoring season for the tight end with just three touchdowns, although he did miss seven games too.
So why Goedert? Thereโs no team in the NFL that gave up more receiving yards to tight ends than the Kansas City Chiefs in the regular season. As good as their defense was, it seemed to have one glaring hole and thatโs how they deal with the TE position. They werenโt punished enough for it, giving up just five touchdowns, but itโs an area that the Eagles can and will exploit. Goedert is a big game player and with defenses expecting Saquon when the Eagles are in the red zone, it might help create space for others, including Goedert.
Kareem Hunt Anytime Touchdown
It looked like Kareem Huntโs time in the NFL could be coming to an end with the running back starting the season on his couch. However, an injury to Isiah Pacheco saw the Chiefs pick up the phone and initiate what seemed like an unlikely reunion and now a few months later heโs suiting up in the Super Bowl.
Since his first start, in his second stint as a Chief, in Week Four, weโve seen Hunt score nine times in 15 games. Heโs not quite as elusive or dynamic as he was in his prime but heโs able to do what this offense needs him to do and thatโs pound the rock. It was thought that Isiah Pacheco would regain the backfield upon his return from injury but it hasnโt really worked out like that with Hunt maintaining the majority of the carries and being more efficient with them.
Hunt is unlikely to be out-carried by Pacheco here, especially because of how clutch heโs been down the stretch. Heโs now scored in four straight games and even with the Eaglesโ defense ability against the run, Hunt will be heavily used in the red zone once again.
Xavier Worthy Anytime Touchdown
When rookie Xavier Worthy scored twice on the opening night of the NFL season it looked like a star was born. However, after an explosive entrance to the NFL world he then continued his development looking less flashy. That said thereโve been signals as weโve reached the business end of the season that Worthy could be a difference maker and Iโve been screaming from the rooftops that this guy will be a problem come the Super Bowl.
The signals were there from Week 13, when the Chiefs began to increase the volume of targets that Worthy saw, and weโve also seen the 21-year-old used as a rusher occasionally too. The team were clearly aware of his unique skillset and physical gifts and were desperate to get the ball into his hands. Thatโs come to pass in the past four games with Worthy scoring in three of those matchups. He offers something that nobody else in red offers and while a very different player to Tyreek Hill, he is reminiscent of Cheetah in the multiple ways that he can help this offense. The Chiefs will look to get the ball into Worthyโs hands on Sunday night, so sit back and enjoy.
