In an unappealing contest a chance is taken on FRANCISCO, who showed promise in two 7f events for Andrew Balding in 2023 but has been absent since. The in-form pair Rebel Star and Rosenpur should also run well.

19:00 Havana Sky

Although on a career-high mark, HAVANA SKY can win again now back at 6f. Rebel Path and Many A Star are two others who should run well.

19:30 Professor Tickle (NAP)

This can go to PROFESSOR TICKLE (NAP), who had to work his way across from the widest stall to lead here last week and wasn’t disgraced in the circumstances. He should find things easier from stall 2 this time and holds a good chance off his current mark.

Nelson Gay (second choice) has solid-looking claims on recent form, while Beauzon warrants respect back over 6f, Prince Of Bel Lir is hard to dismiss and Tyke may be in the process of reviving.

20:00 Surprise Picture

Others have stronger claims on recent form, but SURPRISE PICTURE could well stage a revival back in Class 6 and follow up on last year’s success in this race.

Second choice is Kalganov who, like the selection, is interesting returned to this grade. The shortlist is completed by the 4yo fillies Autumn Rose and Just Rita, who could prove tough opponents for their noticeably older rivals.

20:30 Forever Proud

This can go to FOREVER PROUD, who is standing up well to a busy spell and has won his last two attempts at Wolverhampton. Jumeira Vision faces sterner opposition than last time but remains unbeaten over C&D, while Port Noir is proving very consistent, and a few others also have possibilities.
