NFL Tips: We’ve an 12/1 Multi-Match Bet Builder for Sunday’s early slate

It might be hard to believe, but Week 17 of the NFL season is here already and the jockeying for postseason positions continues in Sunday’s evening’s slate.

Gridiron guru Ben Steele’s got his game face on and has put together marvellous Multi-Match Bet Builder for the big 6pm games.

NFL Sunday Multi-Match Bet Builder

6pm – Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Carolina Panthers +8.5 Points
Baker Mayfield Over 248.5 Passing Yards

6pm – Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
AJ Brown Anytime Touchdown

6pm – Indianapolis Colts @ New York Giants
Jonathan Taylor Anytime Touchdown

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Carolina Panthers +8.5 Points

After losing seven of their first eight games, the Carolina Panthers have never really been in playoff contention but recently, they have shown signs of improvement that has given fans reason for optimism. Quarterback Bryce Young led his side to three wins in their last seven, including a 36-30 victory over the Arizona Cardinals last week, ending their playoff hopes.

That overtime win was their sixth one score game in their last seven, including a 26-23 loss to this Sunday’s opponents, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With two teams so evenly matched teams I’m backing the Panthers to keep it close once again and cover the handicap.

Baker Mayfield Over 248.5 Passing Yards

While the Panthers will likely keep the game close, I’m confident the arm of Baker Mayfield will lead the Buccs to a win. Mayfield is sixth in the NFL for passing yards this season, and three of the QBs are only above him due to the fact they have already played this week.

With Tampa firmly in the playoff race, and Mayfield averaging 261 passing yards per game, the home fans will expect more of the same this week. With Bucky Irving emerging as a talented pass catcher out of the backfield, and veteran receiver Mike Evans offering a consistent threat, Mayfield has plenty of options available to pick up over 248.5 yards.

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles

AJ Brown Anytime Touchdown

Sunday is the 132nd meeting between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, one of the most hotly contested rivalries in the NFL, but the main storyline is the health of Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. The Philadelphia star suffered a concussion last week and is yet to complete the required tests to allow him to play.

While Hurts has time to prove his fitness his backup Kenny Pickett still offers a decent threat. Whoever starts under centre, their first target will be wide receiver AJ Brown. Last week Brown accounted for 97 of Pickett’s 143 passing yards and scored a touchdown. The 27-year-old has 16 catches for 207 yards, and two touchdowns in his last two weeks, so I’d expect him to find the end zone again on Sunday.

Indianapolis Colts @ New York Giants

Jonathan Taylor Anytime Touchdown

The New York Giants have control of their destiny in the last few weeks of the season; if they lose every game they will pick first in the NFL Draft. Their opponents, the Indianapolis Colts will be hoping to capitalise on Houston’s Christmas Day loss to Baltimore, and close the gap in the AFC South title race. Running back Jonathan Taylor exploded for 218 rushing yards and three touchdowns last week and will be looking for more of the same.

Taylor, who has been a bit hit and miss at times this season, knows the Giants haven’t scored over 20 points since early November, so a repeat of last week’s scoring heroics could be enough to win the game on his own. Look for the Colts’ RB to score at least once but I wouldn’t be surprised if he had multiple scores against a hapless Giants side.
